Most kiosk issues can be resolved by restarting the kiosk or restarting the Accushield app.­

  • Restart the Kiosk
    • Press and hold down the power button (located on the top left side of the kiosk) until the 'Power off' and 'Restart' options appear
    • Choose the ‘Restart’ option.
    • The kiosk should turn back on.  Swipe left to right across the bottom of the screen to unlock the tablet and the Accushield app should open
    • Check to see if you are still having the issue
  • Restart the Accushield app
    • Look for the Accushield logo near the top of the screen
    • Tap 5 times quickly on the “lock” icon to the left of the words Accushield
    • This will bring you to the "configuration" screen
    • Tap 'Restart App' at the bottom left side of the screen
    • Check to see if you are still having the issue


If you are still having the issue, review the other common kiosk issues below or contact tech support.

  • Not Connected to Wi-Fi (offline)
  • Not Printing Badges
  • Tablet Will Not Turn On (Screen Appear Off or Black)
    • Check to make sure that the kiosk power cable is plugged into the Samsung power adapter that is plugged into a wall power outlet
      • If your power adapter has been lost or stolen, purchase a replacement
      • If the kiosk power cable is plugged into the usb port of a computer or printer, the kiosk is not receiving enough power and will not stay charged
        • Plug the kiosk power cable into the Samsung power adapter and plug them into a wall power outlet
        • Allow the tablet to charge for at least an hour 
        • Once charged, press the power button (located on the top left side of the kiosk) to turn on the kiosk
    • Check to make sure that the kiosk power cable is plugged into the tablet
      • Using a Phillips head screw driver, unscrew the 4 screws on the back of the top of the kiosk holding the tablet
      • Remove the metal and plastic frames that covers the tablet
      • Check to make sure the kiosk power cable is plugged into the micro usb port of the tablet
      • If the power cable was unplugged, allow the tablet to charge for at least an hour and then turn on the kiosk
    • Perform a Soft Reset
      • If the "Soft Reset" did not work and the tablet still won't turn on
      • Unplug the kiosk from power and allow the battery to drain so that the kiosk turns off.  This may take several hours
      • Plug the kiosk back into power and allow the battery to charge for at least an hour and then turn on the kiosk
    • If tablet still does not turn on, contact tech support.
  • Tablet is Frozen with the Screen Still On
    • Perform a Soft Reset
      • If the "Soft Reset" did not work and the tablet is still frozen
      • Unplug the kiosk from power and allow the battery to drain so that the kiosk turns off.  This may take several hours
      • Plug the kiosk back into power and allow the battery to charge for at least an hour and then turn on the kiosk
    • If tablet is still frozen, contact tech support.
  • Battery Icon on the Tablet has a Red X
    • This means that there is an issue with the tablet power adapter/wall charger or the battery
    • Check to make sure that the kiosk power cable is plugged into the Samsung power adapter that is plugged into a wall power outlet
      • If your power adapter has been lost or stolen, purchase a replacement
      • If the kiosk power cable is plugged into the usb port of a computer or printer, the kiosk is not receiving enough power and will not stay charged
        • Plug the kiosk power cable into the Samsung power adapter and plug them into a wall power outlet
        • Allow the tablet to charge for at least an hour 
        • Once charged, press the power button (located on the top left side of the kiosk) to turn on the kiosk
    • If battery icon still has a red X, contact tech support.
