To get accurate temperature measurements from the Accushield Model-E34879 thermometer, please read and follow the best practices below:
- POINT AWAY FROM LIGHT & HEAT SOURCES
The thermometer should be pointed away from ceiling lights, windows, glass doors, mirrors, HVAC vents, fans, and other hot or cold surfaces. These can impact the accuracy of the thermometer.
- USE BLUE GUIDE FOR DISTANCE AND POSITION
Have the individual stand directly in front of the thermometer and about 1-1.5 feet away. The reflection of their face in the live image on the screen should fill the entirety of the blue face outline. (see picture below). When positioned correctly, their face should be about 12-15 inches from the kiosk screen. If an inaccurately high temperature is returned, have the individual move closer to the thermometer and try again.
